Who We Are Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC is an independent commercial lending and bank consulting company serving Alabama and the Southeast. The company offers direct lending services, commercial loan bank participation, and commercial credit monitoring services.
Patrick B. Trammell - President Patrick B. Trammell is a founding member and President of Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC. Mr. Trammell has a solid background in corporate finance, commercial lending and loan administration.
Mr. Trammell is a native of Talladega, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Accountancy. Subsequently, he attended the University of Alabama and was awarded the Master’s of Business Administration Degree from the Manderson Graduate School of Business at the University in 1988. Upon completion of his graduate studies, Mr. Trammell joined SouthTrust Bank of Alabama in the Commercial Loan Division. During his career at SouthTrust, he gained extensive experience in asset based lending, problem loan administration, and regional corporate lending. Mr. Trammell has developed and managed commercial loan portfolios in excess of $125,000,000 for both private and publicly traded companies in Alabama, the Southeastern United States and Latin America. Along with other experienced Alabama banking and business professionals, Mr. Trammell founded Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in the spring of 1996.
Mr. Trammell is past president of the Birmingham Chapter of the University of Alabama MBA Association, is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the Board of Directors and is President of the Birmingham Breakfast Exchange Club. Mr. Trammell has also served as an instructor at Jefferson State Community College, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the American Institute of Banking. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed to practice in Alabama, is an active associate member of the Alabama Banker’s Association, and serves as Chairman of Associate Members Board of Directors of the Community Bankers Association of Alabama and on the Alabama Committee of the Newcomen Society of the United States.
Laura E. Byrd - Chief Financial Officer Laura E. Byrd joined Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in June of 1996. Since that time she has worked actively in all aspects of the Company, including operations, collateral administration, and finance. She assumed her duties as Chief Financial Officer in July, 2000.
Ms. Byrd is a native of Birmingham, Alabama is a Magna Cumme Laude graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a dual degree in Accountancy and Spanish. Prior to joining Southeastern, she served as Director of Compliance for Labcorp, a regional laboratory company.
As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Byrd is responsible for all accounting, treasury, and cash management within the Company, as well as serving as the primary banking and investor relations contact. She is a nationally recognized sommelier, past president and board member of the Fine Wines Society of North America, and a regionally recognized painter.
James A. Anderson - Senior Vice President James A. Anderson joined Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in September of 1996 as Senior Vice President. Mr. Anderson is a native of Pittsburgh, PA and completed high school there.
Mr. Anderson studied marine biology at the University of Virginia where he graduated in 1974. He then continued his education at Old Dominion University and various other banking schools.
Mr. Anderson has spent his entire twenty-five year career in virtually all phases of consumer and commercial finance, including time spent at First Union Bank and SouthTrust Bank. His interests outside the workplace include reading and traveling.
Danny Bittner - Vice President/Director of Business Development for Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle Danny Bittner joined Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in December of 2006 as Vice President/Director of Business Development.
Mr. Bittner is a Birmingham native and graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. After graduation, he joined Regions Financial Corporation as a Loan Examiner in their Loan Examination Department. After spending over two years with the bank, Mr. Bittner entered the Title Insurance Industry where he held numerous positions including Business Development for Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
Mr. Bittner’s interest outside of the workplace includes spending time with his wife and son, traveling, and participating in numerous sporting activities. He is currently involved with the Alabama Bankers Association and the Community Bankers Association.
Melody Vollman - Senior Vice President/Director of Marketing for the Midsouth Region Melody Vollman joined Southeastern in September 2007 as SVP/Director of Marketing for the MidSouth Region. Her office is based in Memphis, TN. She is focusing her marketing activity in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkanss, nd Norther Mississippi and seh will also be responsible for business development in other Midsouth states as well.
Melody has over 20 years of experience in the commercial finance industry with positions ranging from auditing to business development. She is a native of Jonesboro, Arkansas and a graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in Accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Arkansas in 1988. She began her career in public accounting eventually moving to the Commercial Finance industry as an auditor/credit analyst with First Tennessee Bank in Memphis. Melody subsequently worked as Portfolio Manager/Business Development Officer for the Asset Based Lending divisions of Union Planters National Bank, Compass Bank, and First American National Bank where she opened a Memphis ABL office for this Nashville based bank.
Prior to joining Southeastern, Melody was with Presidential Financial in Memphis, TN as a Senior Business Development Officer. Prior that, she was Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Owner of Community Business Finance, Inc. in Southaven, MS, and a Business Development Officer for GE Capital Business Credit in Memphis, TN.
Melody is active in several professional organizations. She is a member of the Tennessee Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the Memphis Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. She also serves as a board member of the Risk Management Association, Memphis Chapter.
She finds it personally satisfying to help small businesses obtain the working capital financing they need to grow or transition their businesses into profitable and bankable concerns. As a former commercial banker, she also gets a lot of satisfaction helping bankers structure creative financing alternatives for growing clients and prospects. Outside of the workplace, Melody enjoys music, dining, art, traveling, and bicycling.
Jimmy R. Gables - Vice President/Account Management Jimmy Gables is a Gadsden area native where he attended Hokes Bluff High School. Mr. Gables went on to study accounting at Jacksonville State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Mr. Gables completed Commercial Finance Association schools for both Account Management and Field Examination. Mr. Gables' previous work experience includes staff accountant work in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.
Mr. Gables joined Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in September 1999 as the Account Executive and is currently the Assistant Vice President of Loan and Collateral Administration. He works primarily in Account Management and also works as part of the Survey Auditing Team.
Nicole Ragan - Director of Marketing
Nicole Ragan joined Southeastern Commercial Finance, LLC in November of 2005 as the Director of Marketing. Nicki is a graduate of University of Florida with a B.S in Advertising and a minor in English.
Prior to joining Southeastern, Nicki worked in the marketing departments of a family-owned construction company, a retirement services business, a non-profit organization, and a publishing company. She is highly skilled in all aspects of creative marketing, as well as marketing planning and budgeting.
Nicki is currently responsible for Southeastern's marketing plan, collateral, public relations and event planning, and all promotional materials.
